HOW TO POSTPON A MARRIAGE FOR THE FAULT OF THE CORONAVIRUS AND LAUGH ON!

A few days ago we were contacted by Rosella from Varese. Her daughter was supposed to get married on April 18, but the health emergency and the restrictions we are all subjected to prevented the happy event from being celebrated. We can only imagine the frustration of having to give up the joy of this special day, an appointment scheduled months (maybe years) in advance and vanished due to this cursed pandemic. Yet Rosella found a way to laugh about it and above all to make us laugh about the betrothed ... She turned to us with a vague idea ... she simply wanted something that would make her daughter understand that the decision to postpone, however obligatory it was also the only one possible in this situation. His budget was very low but he absolutely wanted to make something printed. And even the fear is very little available ... So in a few minutes we have proposed a color illustration, in a humorous style, printed on photographic paper. We imagined the wedding day as if there were no prohibitions that we all know. So a celebration in the church, a few guests (three or four), spouses with sterile masks and gloves, people who wash their sleeves with a handbag, suspicious looks and safe distances for fear of contagion ... an absurd situation in short, treated with irony and with the specific intent to play down, to laugh at it.

Samantha's talented stroke and a beautiful 30x40 print on high quality matte photographic paper did the rest. The gift arrived the day before the deadline. We just heard from Rosella. Stra-happy and pleased to contact us to prepare a new commission for the wedding!
