It is on a Sunday of forced quarantine that Emanuela's strange but touching request arrives.
Her dad, the loving grandfather of her girls, who literally lives for her granddaughters, can't celebrate their birthday with them. Not just any birthday, but a special one, which is celebrated every 10 years! Fortunately, technology helps to limit the distance: there are video calls, there is the telephone, but it is not the same thing, they are not the same emotions. The cover is a metaphor of the grandfather who symbolically tears the girls from their mother's clutches (so to speak of course). And in fact, the title of the cover is “three against one”, which recalls the title of a Tex register released about 60 years ago (“two against a hundred”).
The cover, in color, with a typical Far West setting in the legendary Monument Valley, is a small masterpiece. We have proof of this when we e-mail it to Emanuela (in large format so when this nightmare is over she can print it in large format). Emanuela is sincerely moved and thanks us very much for having done the miracle (order made in less than two days, including Sunday). Even the grandfather, Emanuela tells us a few days later, was very happy (to tears) for that gift.
